Global climate strike has begun

Millions of people worldwide are participating in the global climate strike today. The first of 5,000 actions in 156 countries have already begun in Australia and the Pacific.

Worldwide, from Australia to Norway, from Izmir to Berlin, there are actions for climate strike today. Today tens of thousands of pupils and activists are taking to the streets in Berlin and one of the main arteries of the city is already blocked by cyclists.

In Vanuatu, the Solomon and Kiribati people went out at sunrise under the slogan "We do not sink, we fight".

In Australia, major demonstrations are taking place in Melbourne and Sydney. In the town of Alice Springs in the center of Australia, several hundred people held a ‘die-in’. The organizers speak of 300,000 participants in Australia.
