Giesbert calls Turkish president Erdogan “a butcher”

French journalist Franz-Oliver Giesbert highlighted western powers double standard over Afrin and called Turkish president Tayyip Erdogan “a butcher”.

Speaking on a radio show in Europe 1 station Giesbert criticized the French media and said the press became a mechanism that only gives out positive comments. Giesbert pointed out the new era of “soft tyranny” and talked about the situation in Turkey.

Calling the Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan “a butcher” Giesberg said: “Erdogan is a butcher like Beshar al Assad”.

“The media only writes about Eastern Gouta. They are right about this because Assad is committing violations against the rebels who are in fact Islamists. Nobody talks about this but it’s a reality. But at the same time, they write nothing about the continuous bombing of Kurds by the Turkish army” Giesberg added.
