Gebze: Yet another attack on families of political prisoners

In Gebze, western Turkey, another police attack has been launched on families of political prisoners.

While seven thousand prisoners continue the hunger strike and 30 others the death fast action against the isolation imposed on Abdullah Öcalan, so does the Turkish regime’s repression against demonstrations in solidarity with the activists.

For the 40th day, families of prisoners in Gebze have continued their protest in front of the prison. Saturday’s protest was also joined by HDP MPs Ayşe Sürücü and Ömer Faruk Gergerlioğlu.

As has been the case in the previous demonstrations, the mothers and families of the prisoners became the target of police attacks. The families were not intimidated and announced that their resistance would continue. The police also attacked passers-by who documented the attacks.
