Families of Soma victims to march to Ankara “for justice”

When justice failed in the work murder in Soma where 301 miners lost their lives, the families decided to march to Ankara.

The families are not content with the outcome in the case about 301 miners losing their lives in Soma, Manisa with 51 suspects, 5 on remand, and decided to march to Ankara.

The families say the sentences issued to 14 suspects including Soma Coal and Mining Co. CEO Can Gürkan are not “just” and called for support for the march they are going to launch from the Soma Cemetery where the miners are buried.

“We are calling on all mothers, all persons whose sense of justice was hurt to support us,” said the families and added that the case is not over yet.
