Families not allowed to retrieve guerrillas' bodies

The invading Turkish state does not allow the recovery of the bodies of four guerrillas who lost their lives during the intense bombardment in Lice. The bodies have been waiting in the area for 43 days.

The clashes took place on 3 June during the military operation in the neighborhood of Bayırlı in Lice, in the province of Amed.

The bodies of 4 of the 5 guerrillas who lost their lives as a result of the regime's intensive bombing have been kept in the operation area for 43 days. The Turkish regime does not allow the bodies to be retrieved.

Guerrillas were only able to retrieve the body of Felat Kocaka. He was buried in Lice.

The other four guerrillas who lost their lives are Ibrahim Çelik, Abdullah Turhan, Ömer Demir and Yusuf Kayran.

Families went to operation area hoping to retrieve the bodies that are in a state of decay.

So far the application made by families went unanswered.
