Explosions in Baghdad

Several explosions have been reported in the Iraqi capital and villages around it.

According to Iraqi officials, one soldier was killed and two were wounded when a bomb exploded at a security check-point in the town of Abu Ghraib, 25 kilometers west of Baghdad.

Two civilians also died in the explosion in the district of Abu Usrr in the south of Baghdad, while two people were wounded.

Two civilians were injured as a result of the explosion of a bomb on a public transport vehicle in the north of the city.

Iraqi Police officials belived that the explosions were carried out by Islamic State mercenaries.
