Kurds gathered in many cities of  Germany, Switzerland and France to join protests and actions in solidarity with the hunger strike resistance demanding the end of isolation against Abdullah Öcalan.

Stuttgart

In Stuttgart the ‘Life Against Isolation Platform’ has promoted a series of actions. Starting in Stuttgart Schloßplatz, activists handed out leaflets about HDP Hakkari MP Leyla Güven and the hunger strike resistance she leads. The information stand opened by the activists was visited by many passers by. Dozens of people joined the action of organised to protest isolation against the Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Hamburg

In Hamburg a human chain was organised to draw attention to the hunger strike resistance.

A large number of Kurdis and Germans joined the human chain on Mönckeberg Street. In the statement made during the action speeches were made about the demands of the hunger strikers. 

The action lasted a couple of hours and ended with a call to join the march that will take place on 22 April. 

Bordeaux

A demonstration was held in Bordeaux to draw attention to the hunger strike resistance demanding the end of isolation against Kurdish people’s leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Basel

The silent of the international institutions about the isolation of the Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan was protested with a silent action carried out in Claraplatz. The action was organised by the Solidarity with Hunger Strikes Platform.

Activists covering their mouths with black bands protested the silence of international states and institutions towards the hunger strikes. Activists were carrying photos of the hunger strikers and activists who ended their life to protest isolation. 

Delemont

In the city of Delémont, the capital of the Jura canton, an action was promoted in front of the central railway station to draw attention to the critical phase of the hunger strikes. 

The activists who wear the white mouth masks of the hunger strikers on their mouth chanted slogans and saluted  the resistance of Leyla Güven.

Friborg

A demonstration was held in front of the central railway station to support the hunger strike resistance.  Activists ended their action against isolation with a sit-in.

Zurich

A rally was held in the Rathaus area, where the canton parliament is located. The action was organised by the Solidarity with the Hunger Strikes Platform. The activists who wore Leyla Güven's masks on their faces commended the hunger strike resistance led by the HDP Hakkari MP.
