Dozens of civilians rescued in Raqqa

Special units of the Syrian Democratic Forces have rescued 40 civilians in Rawda neighbourhood of Raqqa.

YPG-led Syrian Democratic Forces are making further advances against ISIS in Raqqa city. Special units formed by the SDF to free the civilian population from battle zones are rescuing more inhabitants from the clutches of ISIS gangs that use them as human shields on daily basis.

SDF special units have freed 40 civilians in Rawda neighbourhood east of Raqqa early Monday morning. Majority of the freed civilians are children and women, among whom some are injured.

The fighters have transferred the civilians to safe areas and rushed the injured to Kurdish Red Crescent Heyva Sor healthcare center.
