DGH: 18 workplaces, 6 factories and 2 warehouses set on fire

DGH claimed 6 actions in Istanbul, 2 in Konya, 1 in Manisa, 2 in Izmir, 5 in Denizli, 1 in Mersin, 1 in Kocaeli and 1 in Ankara.

In a written statement the Revolutionary Youth Movement DGH has detailed the actions it carried out to demand the end of isolation against Kurdish people’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

The statement claimed 6 actions in Istanbul, 2 in Konya, 1 in Manisa, 2 in Izmir, 5 in Denizli, 1 in Mersin, 1 in Kocaeli and 1 in Ankara.

Details of the actions were given as follows:

Istanbul

* On 16 January at Bayrampaşa District Industrial Site, a workplace producing plastic raw materials was set on fire. Material damage was reported and the workplace was completely destroyed.

* On 28 January a factory producing alcoholic beverages was set on fire in Bahçelievler. The alcoholic beverage factory was completely destroyed in this action with subsequent heavy loss of money.

* On 29 January a recycling and waste plant was set on fire in Silivri. The factory was completely destroyed.

* On 31 January a flour factory in Silivri was set on fire. Material damage reported as the factory was completely destroyed.

* On 1 February a furniture workshop in Küçükçekmece was set on fire. The workshop was completely destroyed.

* On 3 February a furniture store was set on fire at Başakşehir Site.

Konya

* On 19 January, a factory manufacturing underground tanks in Karatay was set on fire. Material damage reported while the factory has been partially destroyed.

* On 21 January a working area in Ereğli was set on fire. Ten workplaces were partially destroyed and material damages were reported.

Manisa

* On 2 February , a pita hall in Turgutlu was set on fire and completely destroyed.

Izmir

* On 3 February a carpet washing shop in Buca was set on fire and destroyed.

* On 3 February a shoe manufacturer located in Bornova was set on fire and completely destroyed.

Denizli

* On 26 January a straw store in Tavas was set on fire. 5 thousand straw bale were burned, 100 thousand pounds of property damage occurred and the straw store was completely destroyed.

* On 29 January a factory producing plastic in Çivril was set on fire and partially destroyed.

* On 30 January a minibus was set on fire in Pamukkale.

* On 2 February a vehicle was set on fire in Efendi.

* On 4 February a vehicle was set on fire in Pamukkale.

Mersin

* On 28 January a lighter factory located in Tarsus OSB was burned and completely destroyed.

Kocaeli

* On 28 January, a real estate office located in Gölcük was set on fire and completely destroyed.

Ankara

* On 5 January a workplace warehouse named M.K. in Serik was set on fire and completely destroyed.
