Demonstration against systematic attacks on kolbars in Brussels

Protest against the systematic attacks on kolbars in front of the Iranian Consulate in Brussels.

Kolbars who earn a living by carrying load at the border between South (Bashur) and East (Rojhilat) Kurdistan are challenging severe conditions at the risk of their lives.

The Iranian regime has turned the brutal killing of Kurdish kolbars into a regular crime. On a daily basis, there are reports of Kurdish kolbars dying while they are only seeking to support their families.

Kurdistan Free Life Party (PAJK) promoted a demonstration in Belgium’s capital Brussels to protest the attacks and executions against kolbars.

During the demo in front of the Iranian Consulate, protesters carried flags of PJAK, KJAR (East Kurdistan Women's Movement) and banners with images of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Unfurling a banner that read “Stop kolbar deaths”, demonstrators stressed that there was no difference between the Iranian regime and the Turkish regime of Erdoğan.

Protesters also called attention to workers deaths and demanded freedom for political prisoners.
