Kurds and their friends will be rallying in Italy on Saturday 16 February to mark the 20th anniversary of the capture of Abdullah Öcalan.

The rally is being organised in Rome and is expected to attract a huge crowd as it comes at a particular time.

All over Europe in fact, Kurds are on hunger strike to demand the end of isolation on the Kurdish people’s Leader who have been imprisoned in Imrali island for twenty years.

Hunger strikes have spread to Kurdish and Turkish prisons, as well as South Kurdistan, Rojava, Europe and even Canada, following the fast launched by HDP Hakkari deputy Leyla Guven.
