About 150 people gathered in the German city of Bonn for a rally with the slogan: "For the freedom and life of Abdullah Öcalan".

After an introductory speech by the Tatort Kurdistan initiative, a spontaneous demonstration was carried out through parts of the city center, where slogans were chanted and flags bearing the demand for Abdullah Öcalan's freedom were shown.

At the closing rally, representatives of the Kurdish Society Center and the Kurdish students’ union YXK spoke. The main point highlighted in speeches was international solidarity.

PKK founder Abdullah Öcalan has been in Turkish custody for almost twenty years. Since September 2016, there is no sign of life from him.
