Black wrath left in front of Turkish embassy in London

A mass protest was held in front of the Turkish Embassy in London.

The action in London was promoted by the Anti-War Coalition and the Solidarity Center of Turkish and Kurdish Communities DAY-MER.

The action was attended by Steve Hedley of the RMT Union, Socialist Party spokesperson Paula Mitchell, Sam Guerney of the British Trade Union Confederation, Human Rights Defender Margaret Owen and members of the Kurdish People's Assembly, as well as hundreds of people.

The speakers at the demo reminded that the YPG, YPJ and SDF fought and defeated ISIS and established a democratic system in Rojava.

The speakers also condemned the Turkish state and his president, Tayyip Erdoğan, for attacking Rojava and called on people to stand up and protest the occupation.

Black Wreath

Police had secured the Turkish embassy building, yet activists managed to leave a black wreath prepared by the members of the Anti-War Coalition which said: "End the invasion of Rojava now!"
