Bayık's message in Strasbourg calls for a joint struggle by peoples

In his message at the Strasbourg rally, KCK's Cemil Bayık stressed that the Kurdish movement's struggle against the international conspiracy continues, and called for a joint stance and struggle against the alliances of genocide targeting Kurds.

The rally in Strasbourg, France in protest at the international conspiracy against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan at its 18th anniversary continues.

A video message from KCK (Kurdistan Communities Union) Executive Council Co-President Cemil Bayık was featured at the rally following the joint statement of 70 internationalists who covered 270 kilometers during the Luxembourg-Strasbourg march that lasted 10 days.

“ÖCALAN PUT FORTH THE DEMOCRATIC CONFEDERALISM PROJECT AGAINST THE CONSPIRACY"

Cemil Bayık saluted the stance of the Kurdish people against the international conspiracy of 18 years ago, stressing that the Kurdish Movement's struggle against the conspiracy continues.

Bayık recalled that Öcalan went to Europe for peace while international forces realized a conspiracy against his efforts. He noted that Öcalan faced with these forces with the democratic confederalism project he put forth.

Stressing that the Kurdish People's Leader has fulfilled his mission for the world's peoples despite the challenging conditions of isolation and captivity, Bayık pointed out that capitalist modernity feeds on nationalism, crisis and chaos for which social democrats and liberals fail to come up with a solution. He proposed that radical democracy and democratic socialism could be a solution to the problems in the world, and that the problems could be settled basing on the idea and ideology of Öcalan.

"AKP-MHP-ERDOĞAN ALLIANCE WANTS TO REVIVE THE CONSPIRACY"

Bayık emphasised that the international conspiracy against Öcalan has been frustrated by Öcalan himself and the Kurdish movement but the AKP, MHP and Erdoğan alliance in Turkey wants to revive this conspiracy and to conclude it by holding the Kurdish leader in captivity.

Remarking that the executives of the Kurdish Movement are being targeted today as was the case in Paris killings [of Sakine Cansız, Fidan Doğan and Leyla Şaylemez], Bayık drew attention to the fact that Erdoğan-Bahçeli alliance is at the same time a partnership of genocide against the Kurds.

CALL FOR A JOINT STRUGGLE AGAINST THE ALLIANCES OF GENOCIDE

Bayık continued, calling upon the peoples to give a joint struggle against the alliances of genocide, and urged the US, Russia and other states to avoid supporting the policies aiming a Kurdish genocide. He stressed that 2017 will be a year of strong resistance against fascist colonialism.

KCK's Bayık emphasised that Democratic Autonomy must be built in order for the frustration of the conspiracy, saying: "Resistance must be enhanced in every town, village and street. We will triumph if our people and allies act on this basis. We are the only movement to advance democracy. Relations and ties with the democratic circles in Turkey must also be strengthened."

KCK Executive Council Co-President Cemil Bayık reiterated their call for National Congress, adding: "If we realize this in 2017, we can create developments of importance for humanity and democracy, and fail this conspiracy."
