Artists in solidarity with Demirtaş against Erdoğan

Erdoğan calling Demirtaş a "terrorist" has been condemned firmly by the artists as well.

In a press conference following the G20 summit in Germany's Hamburg city while answering journalists, AKP chairman Tayyip Erdogan called the Co-chair of the People's Democratic Party (HDP) Selahattin Demirtaş a "terrorists". Against those remarks discontent keeps growing.

26 artists from Kurdistan, Turkey and diaspora expressed in a short video clip their support for Demirtaş and showed their discontent with Erdogan.

The artists gave following messages:

Hozan Kawa: Mr. Selahattin Demirtaş is not a terrorist, but an honourable leader who represents the will of millions of citizens.

Farqin Azad: Selahattin Demirtaş is the will of the people. He is the people's voice and will. And he represents peace, justice and freedom.

Azad Bedran: Selahattin Demirtaş is not a terrorist. He is our will.

Pinar Aydinlar: Selahattin Demirtaş is the will of millions of people. Demirtaş is our dignity and we will stand with him until the end.

Ali Baran: If someone who has received the votes of 6 million people is a terrorist, it concludes that 40 million Kurds are declared terrorists. Demirtaş is in our hearts.

Özlem Baglayan: Erdoğan could not help mentioning Selahattin Demirtaş again even during the G20 summit, what consequently reveals that he dreads him very much.

Hozan Cane: We condemn the mentality that calls the will of 6 million people "terrorist"

Adil Botan: Those who have destroyed the towns of Şırnak, Cizre, Sur and Nusaybin, and who have not given an account for Roboski are the terrorists.
