Another mass grave discovered in Raqqa

Several mass graves have already been identified by the Raqqa Reconstruction Committee.

The Raqqa Reconstruction Committee has identified a new mass grave while carrying out its work to remove the rubble in the city.

The mass grave was found in Panaroma Square, located on the Aleppo-Raqqa road, and it is understood that both civilians and DAESH mercenaries are buried there.

The 9 bodies recovered from the grave have been properly buried.

Raqqa was chosen as the capital of its Caliphate by DAESH.

The city lived under terror for four years, before being liberated by Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in October 2017.
