Efforts by the Reconstruction Committee units to remove rubble from the city of Raqqa continue after it was liberated from ISIS gangs.

Yasir El Xemis from the Reconstruction Committee units said they discovered 9 mass graves in Raqqa: “To date, we have removed all bodies in the graves in the Rashid Citadel and the animal farm. Efforts continue to remove the rest of the bodies. We have removed some 1.500 bodies, most of whom were civilians.”

El Xemis also said they discovered another mass grave near the Panorama Crossing, and announced that excavations will begin in the coming days.
