On 3 August 2014, ISIS mercenaries attacked the city of Shengal in southern Kurdistan and massacred thousands of civilians.

Thousands of Yazidi women were captured by mercenaries in one of the greatest atrocities in human history.

On the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the massacre, 3 August has been declared a day of action against Feminicide, and a series of demonstrations will be held in Germany.

The Federation of Yazidi Women's Assemblies (SMJ) called on all women in the world to join the actions.

The actions will begin on 3 August at 11 am when the clock will stop all over the world for a minute silence to commemorate the women killed and kidnapped by ISIS mercenaries in Shengal.

The Federation of Yazidi Women's Assemblies pointed out that the struggle against feminicide is of evryone's interest and called on women to take to the streets on 3 August.

The Federation also recalled that the Autonomous Administration in Shengal is led by women and called on women and people around the world to join the demonstrations.
