Abadi demands immediate execution for hundreds of ISIS convicts

After bodies of 8 victims murdered by ISIS gangs were discovered, Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar Al-Abadi demanded the immediate execution of ISIS members who have been sentenced to death.

Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar Al-Abadi issued a written statement and ordered the “immediate punishment of terrorists” whose sentences have been approved.

This statement by the Abadi is of interest for hundreds of people, including women and foreigners. In Iraq, there are over 300 people including 100 foreigners who have been sentenced to death for membership to ISIS, and another 300 sentenced to life in prison.

Most of the foreigners sentenced to death are citizens of Turkey and former Soviet republics. There is one Russian and one Belgian national among them.

Abadi’s order came as retaliation after the discovery of the bodies of 8 people last Wednesday.
