Öcalan's isolation condemned, Rojava Revolution saluted in Europe

The aggravated isolation on Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan has been condemned and the Rojava Revolution has been saluted at its 5th anniversary in various cities of France and Germany.

NORMANDY

A public meeting was held on Öcalan's isolation at the Mantes La Jolie Democratic Kurdish Society Center in Normandy, France, which focused on the situation of the Kurdish leader and current political developments as well as the gains made in line with Öcalan's perspective. The meeting also put emphasis on the role of the Kurds living in Europe and called for uninterrupted actions for the freedom of the Kurdish leader.

BORDEAUX

The 5th anniversary of the Rojava Revolution has been celebrated in the French city of Bordeaux as well. The 'Freedom for Öcalan' tent activity of the Democratic Kurdish Society Center has ended with a demonstration saluting the revolution. Participants handed out leaflets informing about the isolation on Öcalan, political prisoners in Turkey and the Rojava Revolution.

HAMBURG

An event was organized in the German city of Hamburg to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the Rojava Revolution. During the event which was organised by PYD and Martyrs' Families Commission, PYD representative Cihan Fettah held a speech and laid emphasis on the values of humanity and freedom as the core of the Rojava Revolution led by women. Fettah stressed that the gains made through the revolution will be protected.

Another speech was made by Leyla Eli on behalf of the Martyrs' Families Commission who vowed that they will remain loyal to the ideals of the martyrs that brought the Kurdish people closer to freedom.

The event continued with performances of Kurdish singers Ozan Xemgin Birhat, Seyda Perinçek, Siyamend Efrîni, Demhat Koçer, Mustafa Hogir, Slava Botan, Dilo Doxan, Cudi Rüstem and Hejar Elani.

BODENSEE

Also in the town of Friedrichshafen in Bodensee, Germany Kurds celebrated the 5th anniversary of the Rojava Revolution which women attended in traditional clothes.

Speakers on behalf of PYD and the Kurdish Association saluted the revolution and condemned the attacks on Efrîn Canton.

Another speech on behalf of the German Left Party stressed that “Rojava Revolution is our revolution as well”.

FRANKFURT

A public meeting was held in the German city of Frankfurt under the lead of Democratic Kurdish Society Center.

Speaking after a minute of silence in memory of the fallen, Meryem Doğan called on all the Kurds and their friends to go into action for Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan from whom no news has been received for a long while.

Kurdish politician Serhat Agiri stressed that no Kurd should remain silent in the face of the aggravated isolation imposed by the Turkish state on the Kurdish leader, saying: “It is our Leader Apo that brought us to these days and enabled the Kurds to gain recognition all around the world. The protest actions should be joined by all the Kurds and their institutions.”
