In the scope of an Batman-centered investigation, police forces carried out a house raid in the Huzurevi neighborhood in Amed’s (Diyarbakır) central Kayapınar district at around 5 am this morning.

During the raid with dogs, the police broke the door and ill-treated the people in the house where a 46-year-old woman named Fekrat Kurt lives.

While the house was not searched, the woman was taken into custody during the raid. The reason for the detention was not disclosed.

Kurt was taken to Diyarbakır provincial security directorate and might be referred to Batman, according to reports.
