38 young people released on Tabqa Civilian Assembly’s demand

38 Tabqan young people were released after the Tabqa Civilian Assembly demanded non-violent criminals be released.

Arab clans in Tabqa and the Tabqa Civilian Assembly demanded that the people who have been ISIS members but were not involved in violence be released, and the people in question have been released after meetings with the SDF.

The city residents, clans’ leaders, SDF and Tabqa Civilian Assembly representatives came together in the Tabqa Civilian Assembly building where SDF commander Xeyri Mihemed, Tabqa Civilian Assembly Co-chair Ehmed Şaban and Clan Leader El Şex Hamid Ferec gave speeches.

Xeyri Mihemed said: “Wherever they go, the gangs take the young people with them and carry out all kinds of destruction. The SDF forgives, but does not forget. All young men deceived by the gangs leave them and surrender to the SDF. We call on all young people to return home, and not be tricked by these gangs.”

Then Ehmed Şaban gave a speech. He stated that the SDF brings security wherever they go and added: “The SDF ensures security in the region by rejecting all kinds of tyranny.”

Şêx Hemid El Ferec congratulated the released Tabqan youths and said that the Tabqa Civilian Assembly is a minaret for all the people of Tabqa and it is the voice for all. El Ferec thanked the SDF forces who liberated Tabqa for also ensuring the release of the young men.

The Tabqa Civilian Assembly had appealed for the release of young people who have been deceived by ISIS, and those who hadn’t been party to a violent crime had been released.
