23 taken into custody in Şırnak and Antalya

The AKP regime of Turkey continues its mass arrest campaign against the Kurdish people, their elected representatives and opposition circles.

A total of 23 people have been taken into custody in today's political genocide operations.

ŞIRNAK

Turkish police and soldiers conducted raids on several houses in İdil and Beytüşşebap districts of Şırnak early Saturday morning.

9 people have been detained in Beytüşşebap and taken to the district security directorate. The detainees who include the headman of Ilıcak (Germav) village are accused of “membership to PKK” and “aiding and abetting PKK”

9 other people have been taken into custody in İdil and taken to the district security directorate.

ANTALYA

Police forces conducted house raids in Antalya province and detained 5 people in the scope of an operation carried out on 6 June, during which 4 people had been taken into custody. The detainees are held at provincial security directorate and their detention period has been prolonged for 7 days.
