12 detained in Ankara and Antalya

Seven people have been taken into custody in Ankara province and five others in Antalya as part of the AKP regime's increasingly ongoing operations of political genocide targeting Kurdish people and opponent circles.

ANKARA

Seven people including HDP Yenimahalle district branch co-chair Nurettin Kemertaş and Eğitim-Sen union members have been detained during house raids in Turkish capital Ankara this morning. The detainees are being held at the anti-terror department of Ankara police headquarters.

ANTALYA

Police forces conducted raids on several houses in the southern province of Antalya this morning after laying a siege on the neighborhoods of targeted houses with armored vehicles. All the houses raided in the operation were searched in detail and computers and mobile phones were seized by the police during the raids.

Five people including ESP (Socialist Party of the Oppressed) Antalya provincial branch chair Hacı Temur were detained and taken to Antalya Aksu Police Directorate after a health control.
