American YPG fighter Rodî Xwendekar, who was a philosophy student in his homeland before coming to Rojava, stated that the Rojava Revolution is asking some important questions and is offering more compelling answers than the rest of the world.
People's Defense Units (YPG) Press Office published a video of one of its American fighters Rodî Xwendekar, who tells why he came to Rojava and joined the struggle against ISIS.
Rodî Xwendekar who was a student and studied philosophy in the U.S. says that he came to Rojava two months ago to support and show solidarity with the Rojava Revolution precisely because he studies philosophy.
“Philosophy is about asking questions and I think that the Rojava Revolution is asking important questions and offering more compelling answers than the rest of the world”, Rodî says.
The American fighter clarifies that: “The rest of the world is fighting over which borders are the best to contain or divide different ethnic groups. The rest of the world is asking questions about the domination of women by men and the rest of the world is trying to dominate one religion over another and people like DAESH, like the Turkish state, like Assad ask themselves how they can succeed in a domination. And I see the Rojava Revolution is motivated by alternative questions and answers and instead of seeking domination it seeks co-operation and this is captured in the philosophy of Serok Apo in Democratic Confederalism.”
