PYD (Democratic Union Party) Co-President Saleh Moslem stated that the June 25 attack on Kobanê was a big plan undoubtedly participated by Turkey on a political or another level. “The attacks were conducted and munitions were brought in over Turkey”, he said.

Speaking at the World Agenda program on Mednuçe TV, PYD Co-President Saleh Moslem said they described the transformation in Rojava as a revolution for enabling the establishment of a self-administration of the people.

"This revolution is mostly the revolution of the oppressed, i.e. women", said Muslim, pointing out that they as Rojava have an alternative model with regards to the change of women's social role. He said this model has been concretely put into practice, and that they would do their best to carry it further.

Moslem remarked that the democratic autonomy system has created a change by realizing a different model of living in the Middle East territory dominated by war and ethnic conflicts, noting that Rojava has since been targeted by those disturbed by this democratic model. He said this reality lies behind the attacks of ISIS gangs particularly on Kobanê as the Rojava model has also spoilt the plans of the self-interested gangs as monopolies of oil and arms in the Middle East.

‘KOBANÊ ATTACK WAS A BIG PLAN'

Also voicing striking remarks regarding the June 25 attack of ISIS on Kobanê, Moslem described this attack as a big plan the details of which will soon be revealed clearly. "It is certain that Turkey is involved in this plan, either politically or other ways. The attacks were conducted and munitions were brought in over Turkey", he said.

Moslem remarked that the PYD's talks with Turkey have been held with the Ministry of Defense so far, underlining that; "We do not want to change the borders of Syria. We want to establish good relations with the neighboring state of Turkey. This is important for us because of the fact that the kins of our people are living along the other side of the border. During the attacks on Kobanê, people took shelter not in camps but by their relatives in Turkey. We have kinship rights with them, which is why the security of these borders is our problem, before everyone else."

'WE PROVED THE POSSIBILITY OF THE ROJAVA MODEL'

Stating that almost the whole world recognizes the Rojava administration now, Moslem said the followings as to what sort of a resolution they expect in Syria; "We have stated since the very beginning that the matter of Assad shouldn't be the first priority of Syria. In the first place, the opposition could have got united as Assad would be pushed aside for around six months. However, the Istanbul-centered Syrian opposition sat on AKP's lap in Turkey. We are the single opposition group that didn't do so. Turkey insistently put the matter of Assad on the first rank and caused a disagreement among the opposition. The war wouldn't have reached this point if an agreement had been achieved at that time. We have demanded a democratic model in Syria, as we have stated since the beginning. However, supporters of the dictatorship hindered this and brought up the matter of Assad as a condition to the table. A unity of opposition could therefore not be reached. The Syrian revolution would have made a major progress so far if our Democratic Syria model had gained acceptance at the time. In Rojava, we concretely proved the possibility of practice of this model thanks to which peoples can live together in peace."

Regarding the fight against ISIS, PYD Co-President told the followings; "We ended up in a war while proposing a peaceful living. Our living model for a democratic, autonomous and together living was attacked. We had no other choice but to fight with heart and soul against this attack that targeted our manner of living. We united with the U.S. and other forces on the same line due to the anti-ISIS fight. This doesn't mean a compromise on our model and manner of living. ISIS, the most reactionary mindset, is fighting with the most advanced weapons, using the most advanced technology and internet. We are also well aware which forces are providing all these to them."
