Border gates in Syria are used as blackmail

Each state uses the Syrian border gates for their own interests. They also impose embargo on peoples in Northern and Eastern Syria.

Syria's neighbors use the border gates for their own interests. They do not allow humanitarian aid and health supplies to enter the region. The Turkish state, Russia and the Damascus government impose embargo on the peoples in Northern and Eastern Syria. However, following the 2011 Syrian crisis, these states opened the border gates to thousands of jihadist fighters of ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra.

'TURKISH STATE OPENED THE DOORS FOR GANGS'

When the Turkish state and its gangs occupied Jarablus in 2016, the Turkish state opened the border gate there. The El-Rai border gate was opened in 2017. Sultan Murat gangs are in charge of this gate. The Bab Al-Salam border gate in Azaz is under the control of the Turkish state's intelligence. There is the Bab al-Hawa border gate in Idlib. In 2018, when the Turkish state invaded Afrin, another gate was opened in the village of Hemamê in Jindires.

‘BORDER GATES PASSED INTO OTHER HANDS’

The Nasib border gate in Jordan was seized by gangs in the first years of the Syrian crisis. However, this border gate went again under the control of the Damascus government in 2018. This gate is used for smuggling.

‘RUSSIA CLOSED AN OPEN GATE’

After Russia vetoed the opening of Til Kocher Border Gate for humanitarian aid at the UN assembly in 2019, the gate was closed.

‘KDP RAISES DIFFICULTIES UNDER TURKEY’S PRESSURE’

The Semalka border gate between Syria and the Kurdistan Region is under the control of the ruling Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP). However, the KDP does not even allow humanitarian aid to pass under the pressure of the Turkish state.

Turkey, Russia and the Damascus government have recently closed the border gates to the Autonomous Administration. By raising difficulties, they are trying to subdue the Autonomous Administration, which is the only alternative in the Syrian crisis. They blackmail the people through these border gates.
