More Kurdish and Arab youth from North-East Syria join guerrilla ranks

As part of Komalen Ciwan's call for mobilization against Turkish invasion attacks, a group of Kurdish and Arab young people from North and East Syria announced their participation in the guerrilla struggle.

As the invading Turkish state continues to escalate unprecedented attacks on three parts of Kurdistan, numerous young people responded to Kurdistan Youth Movement Komalen Ciwan's call for military mobilization.

A group of Kurdish and Arab young people from North and East Syria announced their participation in the guerrilla struggle and called for broader participation in the mobilization.

“We are joining the guerrilla forces to avenge the martyrs of Zap, Avaşîn Metina and to increase the resistance and struggle,” the group said in a statement which includes the following:

“The process we are going through is a delicate one for all oppressed and pro-freedom peoples. Capitalist modernity is attempting to use more violence against pro-freedom peoples to overcome the crisis it is going through.

Uninterrupted attacks are launched against pro-freedom peoples and movements and the PKK, which struggles on behalf of all oppressed peoples, especially the Yazidi people.

Since the beginning of the 19 July Rojava revolution, attacks have been mounted against this revolution, which is based on the system of democratic modernity.

The fascist Turkish state is seeking to break the will of the people by aggravating the isolation of Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan in prison and attacking the Medya Defense Zones in cooperation with the KDP. Similarly, the Turkish state seeks to eradicate the guerrillas by employing chemical attacks in defiance of all moral principles.

However, the guerrilla forces frustrated the attacks of the fascist Turkish state and dealt major blows to its troops in a historic resistance. The Turkish state dreaming of reviving the Ottoman Empire has been defeated by the guerrilla forces.

We, Kurdish and Arab youth from North and East Syria, are joining the guerrilla forces to avenge the martyrs of Zap, Avaşîn and Metina in the person of Martyr Jiyan and to enhance the resistance and struggle.

Just as the prison struggles achieved victories, and the 19 July Rojava Revolution was realized, our participation in the struggle in the mountains of freedom will also help break the isolation on Öcalan. We will frustrate the plans of the fascist Turkish state. We will build a Free Kurdistan and a Democratic Middle East.”
