Fighting erupted between ISIS mercenaries and the Shiite militia Hashd al-Shaabi in the evening hours yesterday.

According to Hashd al-Shaabi, an ISIS group stopped cars on the highway between Baghdad and Kirkuk last night and demanded money from drivers.

Fighting erupted after Hashd al-Shaabi units rushed to the scene and intervened the ISIS group.

While two truck drivers were injured in the confrontation, the 10 member ISIS group was able to flee on motorcycles.
