SDF enters Dashisha town

SDF fighters entered Dashisha town following fierce clashes with ISIS since yesterday evening.

YPG-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have liberated a 8 km area and entered the Dashisha town following a fierce battle with ISIS since yesterday evening.

Reports are coming through of violent clashes between SDF fighters and ISIS mercenaries in the town. SDF fighters have also rescued a large number of civilians whom ISIS used as human shields.

Dashisha town is the last ISIS stronghold South of Hesekê (Hasakah).

SDF is expected to release a statement about the operation during the day.
