The YPG Press Centre has issued a written statement saying that its forces had liberated several villages to the west and south of Til Temir.
The YPG said 6 gang members had been killed in clashes in the village of Hûda, while two YPG fighters had made the ultimate sacrifice.
The statement added that at least 20 gang members had been killed in fierce clashes in and around the village of Til Hirmiz, and two YPG fighters had fallen.
Operation to the east of Kobanê
The YPG Press Centre said that cleansing operations were also continuing in Kobanê, where YPG / YPJ forces had liberated the villages of Şeşê, Girikê Hemêr, Korik and North Bîrnasir in the east of the canton.
During this latest operation 13 gang members were killed and large amounts of military equipment were seized, including 5 machine guns, 8 AK47s, 4 B7 rocket propelled grenades, 14 hand grenades, 17 home-made mines, 2 night sight binoculars, I military vehicle and a motorcycle.
