In a written statement, Iraqi Foreign Affairs Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari stated that they would not allow Turkey to use Iraqi land as it used Syrian land in the fight against ISIS.

Jaaferi underlined the meeting they had with Turkish state officials and said that the problems between Baghdad and Ankara were discussed with the Turkish Foreign Affairs Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu in Venezuela.

Jaafari emphasized that they will not allow Turkey to use Iraqi land as it used Syrian land in the fight against ISIS, and reiterated his call upon Turkey to remove its soldiers from the Bashiqa region of Mosul.
