HDP Mersin co-chair: Blast caused by bomb placed into flowers

HDP Mersin branch co-chair Didar Gül said that the blast was caused by a bomb placed into flowers sent to the party office yesterday, while it remains yet unknown who the flowers were sent by.

As reactions grow against two concurrent bomb attacks targeting the offices of the Peoples Democracy Party (HDP) in the southern cities of Mersin and Adana, details are emerging regarding the blasts which occurred after HDP co-chair Demirtaş's rally in Adana yesterday and in Mersin today afternoon.

Mersin branch co-chair pointed out that the blast was aimed to create provocation before the rally of HDP co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş in the city today.

While crime scene investigation teams are continuing work in the office, it is reported that police seized the footage of the security cameras around the scene.
