Germany and France echo with the slogan "Freedom for Öcalan"

Kurds and their allies in Europe continue their demonstrations for the freedom of Abdullah Öcalan. Thousands of people came together across different parts of Germany and France to demand an immediate end to Öcalan’s isolation.

BOCHUM

People of Kurdistan in Bochum, Germany came together to demand the freedom of Öcalan and protest the massacre in Antep.

Kurdistan Institution for the Families of the Martyrs and the Disappeared (KOMAW) led and the Democratic Worker Associations Federation (DİDF) and the German leftist organization MLPD supported the demonstrations.

Nearly 500 people from Kurdistan and their allies gathered in front of Bochum Train Station and marched to Bochum Courthouse. Protestors carried signs condemning Antep Massacre and demanding the freedom of Öcalan. Participants of the protest often chanted the slogans of "Murderer ISIS-Erdoğan", "Terrorist Turkey-ISIS"

HANNOVER

Demonstrators put up a tent in Hannover, Germany for the freedom of Öcalan. Led by the Ronahî Women’s Assembly, protestors distributed hundreds of pamphlets and informed the people passing by the tent about Öcalan’s isolation. Protestors also condemned Antep Massacre, and will be marching near the train station (Hauptbahnhof) in Hannover at 15:00 on Saturday.

MUNICH

Protestors led by the Kurdish Society Assembly and Sara-Women’s Commune continue their vigil in Munich, Germany.

Many pamphlets were distributed and signatures for Öcalan’s freedom were collected on the fourth day of the demonstration.

A rally will also be held tomorrow between 13:00 and 19:00 in Strauß Brunnen.

PARIS

Kurds organized several protests for Öcalan across the French capital Paris.

Led by the Democratic Kurdish Society Center, the protestors condemned the isolation of Öcalan and warned the Turkish state to not test their patience on this issue.

CREIL

Led by the Free Youth Paris, hundreds of people came together in Creil, France to protest the isolation of Öcalan and occupy the train station. The protest began in Creil Democratic Kurdish Society Center and participants wore t-shirts saying "Freedom to Öcalan" while chanting the slogans of "No Life Without the Leader" and "Murderer Erdoğan."

EVRY

Led by the Democratic Kurdish Society Center, hundreds of people from Kurdistan in Evry, France protested the isolation of Öcalan.

Police prevented the crowd from marching to the Evry Préfecture, and the protestors organized a sit in, carried signs saying "Freedom to Öcalan," and distributed pamphlets to inform the public.

VILLIERS LE BELLE

Led by the Democratic Kurdish Society Center, hundreds of people from Kurdistan organized an occupation action for Öcalan in Villiers Le Belle, France, and marched to the train station to protest Öcalan’s isolation.

Protestors chanted slogans such as "Freedom to Öcalan" and distributed pamphlets to inform the public.

The crowd occupied the train station and later ended their protest as they chanted slogans such as "No Life Without the Leader" and "Murderer Erdoğan."

DRANCY

Led by the Democratic Kurdish Society Center, hundreds of people from Kurdistan held a rally in front of Drancy Municipality, Drancy, France, and chanted the slogans of "No Life Without the Leader" and "Murderer Erdoğan."

VILLENEUVE SAINT GEORGES

Protestors led by the Democratic Kurdish Society Center demanded freedom for Öcalan on a busy street in Villeneuve Saint Georges, France.

REIMS

Led by the Democratic Kurdish Society Center, people of Kurdistan in Reims, France gathered for a march but were stopped by the police who used the state of emergency as an excuse. The crowd then organized a sit in and distributed pamphlets on the isolation of Öcalan.
