Demos for Öcalan's freedom in Gävle, Marseille and Rotterdam

GÄVLE

Warşin Women's Commune and Democratic Kurdish Society Center started a tent demonstration for Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan's freedom.

Demonstrators set up a tent at the Stora Torget Square and covered it with posters of Öcalan and photos from the massacres of the Turkish state in North Kurdistan. Participants are informing the people around about the developments in Kurdistan territory and the goal of their protest demo, in addition to collecting signatures for the freedom of Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan and ending of the Turkish state's genocidal attacks in North Kurdistan. The signatures collected here will be submitted to the Swedish Parliament.

MARSEILLE

Kurdish demonstrators in the French city of Marseille have distributed leaflets informing about Turkey's aggravated isolation of Öcalan and genocides in North Kurdistan.

A demo and event serving the purpose will be staged every week during the month of July.

ROTTERDAM

Members of Rotterdam Democratic Kurdish Society Center also staged a demo in the city center, and handed out flowers with a tag reading "Freedom for Öcalan, Status for Kurdistan". The demo was welcomed with great interest.
