18 arrests in Siirt, detainments in İstanbul

18 people were arrested in Siirt and 6 people were detained in İstanbul as part of the political genocide operations of the Turkish state.

18 of the 22 people that had been detained in Siirt on September 29 have been arrested as part of the political genocide operations of the Turkish state. Hasan Yel, Şiyar Tabu, Sait Özbey, Mahmut Temel, Yakup Şallı, Bedri Altınç, Fatma Kayar, İsmail Kayar, Seyit Karahan, Mertoş Elik, Adem Şili, Dindar Akan, Reşit Elçiçek, Yavuz Ödümlü, Ayetullah Ödümlü, Yakup Gündüz and 2 unidentified people have been arrested and charged with "membership in an organization." The remaining 4 detainees were released on probation, and the 18 arrestees were sent to Siirt E Type Closed Prison.

İSTANBUL

Police officers raided the Youth Federation Association, İdil Culture Center and Halkevi offices in Okmeydanı, İstanbul. Police besieged the neighborhoods in which these offices are located, and detained Bahar Kurt and Özgür Gültekin in the Youth Federation Association and Ulaş İnci, Gürkan Türkoğlu, Ekimcan Polat and Eda Yaren Arık in İdil Culture Center.

Police officers are reported to have broken the piano and ‘saz’ musical equipments during the raid.
