YPG Public Relations Committee, accompanied by Arab tribes’ opinion leaders, visited the villages liberated in the Operation Commander Rubar Qamishlo in Cizîrê Canton and listened to problems of the people who have returned to their villages.

The Committee members visited the villages of Eşra Rezaziyê, Mışerfe, Salihiyê, Tıl Mecder, Ezzam, Meslağa and Tırretır on the foothills of Mount Kizwan and listened to people’s problems and learned about their needs after their returned to their liberated villages.

Local committees comprising 2-3 persons have been set up in 8 villages following talks with local inhabitants during the visit. The committees will assess the damage caused by ISIS gangs in the villages and identify the basic needs as well as sustaining the relation with the YPG in order to meet the needs.

Şex Talah Talah, the head of Beggara tribe, which is the largest Arab tribe in the region, accompanied the YPG committee during the visits in addition to many other well-known figures of the region.

ISIS gangs set on fire the houses and wheat fields in those villages, from which it could not get any support. However, news appeared in some media organs claimed that those villages had been burnt by the YPG in order to defame the organization and trigger conflict between the YPG and the Arab tribes who support the ongoing Operation Commander Rubar Qamislo launched by the YPG/YPJ forces to liberate the rural areas and the village in the western parts of Cizîrê Canton.
