Villages in Lice, Silvan and Kulp evacuated and turned into outposts

Dozens of villages in Amed’s Lice, Silvan and Kulp districts have been surrounded by soldiers, village guards and special operations units.

The villages are being forcibly evacuated while the rural areas of Lice’s villages have been bombed for days, and the resulting fires are spreading with every passing hour.

Dozens of villages in Amed’s Lice district under siege for days are facing practices surpassing the 90’s. Thousands of soldiers and special operations units have been dispatched to the district where the villages are being forcibly evacuated under threat of guns. The rural areas of villages protesting these practices are burned with bombs. The fires spread as the fire fighters are not allowed to intervene. Reports say the areas under fire since the morning are seeing occasional clashes as well.

There are reports that special operations units entered the Xelxel, Mışıf, Kerwas, Derxust, Sîsê, Gomê Pirê, Licok, Angûl, Pişê Kevir, Zengê, Menyas, Cumarê, Xeyat, Cinezurê, Hüseynikê, Biryasê, Kiledarê, Goma Feyzo, Goma Ahmê, Benê villages and their surroundings. The rural areas of these villages are frequently bombed and the forests and fields are set on fire.

Other reports say construction supplies for an outpost are being moved into the village Kerwas, where 90 houses were forcibly evacuated two days ago. In Helhel village, one house that belonged to citizens was set on fire, then torn down with a digger, and another was evacuated by the soldiers. There are reports of numerous arrests in Licok village. Soldiers are reported to have set a house on fire in Zengesor village to the north of Lice. The village roads are closed off by soldiers, village guards and special operations units and the communication with the owners of the burned house in Zengesor was cut off after they reported on the situation of their house.

While rural areas continue to burn, the villages of Bamitnê, Reşanê, Beşişt, Daxlê Zirê, Şao, Matmurê, Herbeqnê, Barsom, Cofitin, Bana Dêra, Hazmaz, Dengilhawa, Şexan, Melê, Tutê, Goma Eriş, Koçera, Bawerdê, Sêqasê are surrounded by soldiers, village guards and special operations units.

As the siege and attacks in Lice district’s villages intensify with each passing day, the villages Malê Çaxlê, Şelima, Hindesê, Malê Gir, Zillek, Cumatê and Tilbisin in Silvan district and Godernê, Temiran, Cevsê, Bira Zeyna, Textê, Derikê and Beytil Beyanê villages of Kulp district are reported to be surrounded by soldiers, village guards and special operations units.
