Operation in south Qamishlo continues

The statement said that YPG forces were making a quick advance from many directions and have liberated many strategic points and villages from ISIS terrorists.

Mishêrfa, Small and Large Hedewiye villages and a big farm, as well as the strategic Tiwêl crossroads to the north of Til Hamis were liberated from the gangs as a result of heavy clashes.

In south Til Hemis, villages of Xessan, Xwêtla El Cewala, Topiz, Um El Diwêl, Til Tahin, Qurtuba, Hums, Zehra, Zehrân, Yesrib, First and Second Beggaa, Ebu Xezrafa, in addition to Um Diwel power station and the strategically important Xessan crossroads were cleansed of ISIS groups and liberated.

YPG Press Centre said that over 50 ISIS members were killed and corpses of many as well as arms and munitions were seized by Defense Units who are continuing to advance towards Til Hemis from the northern, eastern and southern directions.

The statement said two fighters of the YPG/YPJ were martyred fighting during the last 24 hours of clashes.

YPG Press Centre further stated that Defense Units have largely repelled the attacks that ISIS groups launched on Til Temir yesterday morning in order to get over the defeat they suffered on Qamıshlo-Hedad-Jazaa line.

According to the statement, 47 ISIS terrorists were ascertained killed in clashes that ceaselessly continued throughout yesterday and corpses of 19 were seized, as well as large quantities of ammunition and arms.
