YPG Press Office said in a written statement that attacks by the ISIS gangs continue to target the city of Hesekê, Rojava, West Kurdistan.

The statement said that members of the People’s Defense Units (YPG), joined by the Women’s Defense Units (YPJ), yesterday, July 12, started a new operation against the ISIS gangs in the south of Hesekê. During this operation YPG/YPJ forces targeted an ISIS compound in the neighborhood of Khweran, killed 4 ISIS fighters.

YPG said that two of their combatant comrades who were wounded in action in battles in Pira Spi district in southern Hesekê could not be rescued despite all medical efforts, they were martyred after a hearty resistance.
