Mesopotamia Ecology Movement calls for action for Cudi

Mesopotamia Ecology Movement called on all the ecologists and defenders of life to defend the entire country against all the attacks targeting the living areas of people, and policies of plundering and destruction.

Mesopotamia Ecology Movement has issued a statement drawing attention to the wildfire that broke out on Cudi Mountain in Silopi district of Şırnak after Turkish soldiers opened artillery fires on the area 3 days ago. The statement stressed that the Kurdistan nature is once again under attack in line with the policies of massacre pursued over geography now.

The Ecology Movement pointed out that forests in Kurdistan territory are deliberately set on fire in addition to the construction of hydroelectric plants and military posts aiming a destruction of the Kurdistan nature.

Pointing to the rich variety of plants and animals housed by Mount Cudi, the Ecology Movement said; “We hereby announce to the public opinion of Kurdistan, Turkey and the world that we will not remain silent on these unrestrained attacks against the ancient Mount Cudi.”

A DELIBERATE FIRE WAS STARTED ON CUDİ

The statement informed that thousands of living beings have been killed in the fire, and voiced their demand for the suspension from duty and punishment of all those who caused the fire, and the public officers that became a party to this crime by performing no intervention at all.

CALL TO ECOLOGISTS

The Ecology Movement invited all the ecologists and defenders of life to establish a front of joint struggle and defend the entire country against all the attacks targeting the living areas of people, and policies of plundering and destruction.
