KCK calls for all-out resistance against the Turkish state's invasion

KCK called upon all Kurds and democracy forces to develop resistance against the invasion of the Turkish state that manifests its Kurdish enmity everywhere.

KCK (Kurdistan Communities Union) Executive Council Co-Presidency has released a statement highlighting the Turkish state's increasingly ongoing attacks and escalated enmity against the Kurdish people in all parts of Kurdistan.

The statement underlined that: “The Turkish state that expands its genocidal war in Bakurê (Northern) Kurdistan in all spheres has also increased its attacks to obstruct the attainment of basic democratic rights by Kurds in Syria. These attacks have claimed the lives of many civilians in addition to 16 fighters of Jaysh al-Thuwar. With these attacks, the Turkish state has revealed, once again, that it wages a war against Kurds together with its affiliate gangs and the ISIS. The attacks have also made it essential for the revolutionary forces that have acted with patience in the face of attacks so far to fight and retaliate against these attacks.”

According to the KCK, the Turkish state's rejection of the Treaty of Lausanne, which divided Kurdistan into four parts, is a part of its genocidal policy that aims to obstruct the Kurds from gaining strength.

The statement continued as follows: "The AKP government has now carried its decision to fracture the strength of Kurds -which it made during the National Security Council meeting on October 30, 2014- over beyond the borders of Turkey. Due to its Kurdish enmity and policy of sectarianism, the AKP has become the main actor responsible for the ongoing war and chaos in the Middle East. With his Preventive Intervention Strategy, Tayyip Erdoğan, the fascist chief of the AKP ruling, has started a war against each political power in the Middle East that does not bow to its policies."

KCK continued, recalling that the AKP government has supported the ISIS and caused the death of thousands of people in order to choke the Rojava Revolution. KCK described the Turkish state as one of the leading sides responsible for the civil war in Syria becoming this much severe and dirty.

"Turkey previously pursued a policy to suppress the Rojava Revolution and become an influential force in the Syria and Middle East policy by means of gang groups, and has now got into the war itself directly. Its aerial and artillery strikes against the revolutionary forces in Efrîn autonomous region in Northern Syria, do reveal this truth."

KCK pointed out that with this policy, the Turkish state is facing not only Kurds but also the peoples in Syria where a new period of war has begun now.

"All the peoples and democracy forces in Syria, including Kurds, will meet on a joint front and mount the resistance of democratic Syria against the Turkish invasion. They will form the first front of resistance against the AKP government's preventive intervention policy.

The Kurdish people and Freedom Movement will take sides with the Rojava Revolutionaries and Syrian Democratic Forces against the direct attacks of Turkey in the same way they took sides with the Rojava people and revolutionary forces against the ISIS attacks. We call upon the people of Kurdistan, in Bakur, Bashur, Rojhilat and everywhere else, to take sides with the Rojava Revolutionaries and Syrian Democratic Forces against the Turkish state's invasion and attacks."

KCK remarked that the Turkish state does not only attack the Kurdish people in Rojava but also manifests enmity against Kurds in Bashurê (Southern) Kurdistan as an occupant force.

"By insisting to enter Mosul, Turkey plans to attack Shengal first, and Qandil afterwards. In the event of weakening the Kurdish Freedom Movement, Turkey aims to grow stronger in Bashurê Kurdistan and make it a piece of its genocidal and colonialist policies."

KCK stressed that the Turkish state's manifestation of its Kurdish enmity has made it essential for Kurds to give a joint struggle against Turkey's policies, adding: "All Kurds and democracy forces in Bashurê Kurdistan and Iraq, just like in Rojava and Syria, should develop resistance against the Turkish state's invasion and all Kurds around the world should rise up to support this resistance."
