Bodies of 12 YPG/YPJ fighters brought to Silopi

Bodies of 12 martyred YPG/YPJ fighters, and a YJA Star guerrilla have been brought to Silopi district of Şırnak.

Bodies of 12 martyred YPG/YPJ fighters, and a YJA Star guerrilla have been brought to Silopi district of Şırnak.

The names of the 12 YPG/YPJ fighters and YJA Star guerrilla are;

- Terfa Coko (Tekoşin Dersim), Nurettin Albayrak (Özgür Doğan), Şaabettin Say (Jiyan Amed), Şahin Ulubay (Baran Bari), Nesim Taşkan (Robar Uzim), Kübra Polat (Zilan İnan) who were martyred in Serêkaniyê on June 7,

- Nazım Harmancı (Zagros Colemêrg) martyred in Serêkaniyê on June 10,

- İsmail Hakkı Kol (Robin Argeş), Sevgi Durmuş (Newroz Êlih) martyred in Siluk town of Serêkaniyê on June 14,

- Naim Akgül (Agir Deniz) martyred in Serêkaniyê on June 14,

- Mustafa Turgay (Laşêr Amed) martyred in Til Temir region on March 8, 2015,

- Abdulkadir Durgun (Şerzat Diyarbaz) martyred in Sikerîyê village of Çilaxa town on August 20, 2013

- YJA-Star guerrilla Yağmur Tekdal (Sarya Amara) martyred in an airstike against Garê area of South Kurdistan on November 22, 2011.

Following a ceremony attended by thousands in Dêrik earlier today, bodies of the 13 Kurdish freedom fighters were brought to Habur Border Gate where they were received by executives of the MEYA-DER.

The bodies of YPG/YPJ fighters and YJA-Star guerrilla were later taken to Silopi district state hospital for a post mortem to the accompaniment of thousands of people including HDP Şırnak deputies Aycan İrmez and Faysal Sarıyıldız, co-mayors of the Kurdish municipalities in the region as well as executives of DBP and HDP Şırnak branches.

Thousands of people are waiting outside the hospital for the ending of the post-mortem treatments after which the martyrs will be taken to Mardin, Amed, Hakkari, Siirt, Batman, Bitlis and Kars where they will be laid to rest.
